Compared with traditional SVC devices represented by TCR, Static Var Generator (SVG) has a faster adjusting speed, wide operating voltage, and greatly reduces the carrier frequency harmonics and compensaties current after adopting multiple, multi-level PWM technology. What is more, the components which are used  in SVG are far smaller than SVC’s, so the size of the device can be reduced.  NPV and  NSVseries of SVG represent the development direction of  dynamic reactive power compensation with such advantages.


NPV series of SVG have realized universal coverage of the power systems, and  can be widely used in different industries and conditions. According to the voltage grade used  by users, the SVG has been divided into 200 V, 400 V, 600 V and  even  higher  voltage series.  Modularization of power units makes it more compant and it  is easy to expand. Reliability of the whole machine is greatly improved  because of  the independence of each  module.
